Tristan’s 6th Birthday
My gift to him. A handmade messenger bag made out of my husband’s DCU shirt from his first deployment to Iraq in 2003. (more digital photos with details to follow soon!)
I have to do a little adjustment with the strap because it is waaaay too long, but I got a couple of “D” rings and can make it adjustable so it can grow with him. He wasn’t super excited about it at first because he saw it before any one was downstairs and he’s just very particular like that (gets upset when things don’t go as he planned them out in his mind). Later in the day he took more interest in it and even tried it on, which is how we officially found out the strap was too long.

Tristan’s 6th Birthday
On the tram back to the car. He was a little overwhelmed with the day and the rest of the day that was still to come with family, so he forced a smile. But I still love him :).
